Not that difficult really.
Okay, I know I'm probably wasting my time, but I'll try once more...

You seem very good at claiming to know what "people want", but the public at large votes with their wallets, and that would prove your statement DEAD WRONG. Fact is, every GT game that has come out has been a huge seller, unqualified hit. Just because YOU don't happen to like the way they are set up doesn't mean they suck. You mention the "limitations" that "detract from the overall gaming experience?" Once again, that is from YOUR point of view. Based on the overwhelming popularity of this series I'd offer that the majority of people do NOT have a problem with these "limitations."

Finally, I think one of the GT series actually tried to do what you mentioned. I'm almost sure I can remember an item from the options menu that let you set car damage ON or OFF, with the caveat that it would affect performance, but not be visible. Only problem is, I can't remember if this was in GT2 or GT3. Can anyone answer this question?

I would rather the programmers "waste" their time on perfect replicas of all the cars entailed in the game over a realistic crash damage engine. "Nuff said. Can I get an amen?

GT3 was boring as hell because there was no damage engine at all. Not saying it has to be real time damage but some would be a plus. No swap or real modifications can be made to the cars.

The GT engine is getting old and dated. I am sure I will play it but I doubt I will buy it because it just doesn't hold my interest for very long.

I got so tired of GT3 that I'd actually get pissed off when I saw somebody playing it...I started to despise the game. h:
