i have a new ps2 case top which allows me to load games through the top, like a dreamcast, rather than using the cd tray. by doing this, the ps2 will never know that the tray opened up allowing me to bypass the copy protection.

how to play backups ...

• open lid and insert either the DVD boot disc, or the CD boot disc (depending)
• slip the black cog back on top of the spindle
• power up
• when the disc stops spinning, swap to your burned game
• press X and you're done

 

Could someone let me know where I can get a chip? Or get my PS2 to play JDM games. I just bought initial D and want to be able to play it soon. Thanks.

the slide card will do the same thing, but you have to hook onto the eject sensor. i'm not too sure if i like this more than the cover ...

 

Cool thanks. I think I like the cover thing better also. Im going to get that, and build in my GT3 controller into my chair and have my own arcade game haha. thanks.
