I feel bad when I say something mean to someone I love. I feel bad when I tell a white lie. I certainly don't know what it would feel like after murdering someone, or raping someone, or stealing huge amounts of money.

Unless the prisoner in question is mentally ill, they knew full well what they were doing when they did it. Do you honestly think someone who is capable of so much evil is worth becoming friends with? Think about the victims of the crimes committed. Does anyone think of becoming THEIR pen pal? Does anyone write to them and tell them how sorry they are for the position they're in? It disgusts me that criminals get all the attention, and yes, even glory, while the victims are left forgotten.

Why don't you spend your time doing something useful, instead of stroking the ego of some worthless fuck taking up space?

And you're right, no matter what you say, its not changing my mind about writing a prisoner. Matter of fact, I wrote 2.

I've been to retirement homes, many of them, even done a lot of volunteer work- and I noticed a lot of the folks there are vegetated, delirious, can not comprehend... amoung other things. You can't have a conversation with some one who is not in their right mind.

and carter...likewise.

I guess i'm willing to forgive people for their mistakes, and yes even if they make a genuwine try at being a better person after taking one's life. As far as Aaron's death, If he gets caught, sent to prison, and rehibilitates, i would probably forgive him too.

So, if a wife is beaten, and she "accidentally" kills her husband for beating her... would you feel the same way? Murder is murder, remember that.

there is such a thing as justifiable homicide. You don't go to prison for it either.

hom·i·cide ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hm-sd, hm-)
n.
The killing of one person by another.
A person who kills another person.

murder is murder, in any case. just like she said, you kill some one you should be locked up and throw in a cell for the remainder of your life.

is there a such thing as justifiable homicide? I mean, just because he hit you doesn't give you the right to kill him....

It's really sad that you assume that people who cannot communicate verbally are pointless to talk to or spend time with. Many people who cannot speak are still able to comprehend what is going on around them, and can fully appreciate human attention and contact. Many times, elderly people become disconnected with others *because* they don't get enough attention. It's really disheartening that you would give up on them so quickly, but I must say, it doesn't surprise me all that much.

genuwine

Genuine. The rapper spells his name incorrectly. I'm so sorry you didn't know it until now.

Murder is NOT just murder. If it was so, why does our legal system (and nearly every legal system in the world) have teh concept of varying degrees of seriousness, i.e., first degree murder, second degree murder, first degree manslaughter, second degree manslaughter, negligence resulting in homicide, etc.

Fuji is absolutely right -- there is such a thing as justifiable homicide, as well as a little something called self defense. A wife who is beaten constantly by her husband, and ends up killing him to save herself is NOT in the same catergory as a person who stabs or shoots an innocent person, premeditated or not.

Thank you for making it clear to me that you are seriously naive.. I was confused for a while there.
