Hood scoops are functional on cars that have air induction/intercooler where the hood scoop is.

Now how many hondas/acuras have air induction/intercooler where the hood scoop is? But yet many of them have hoods w/scoop.

Which is why they don't belong on a Honda.

Has anyone here actually taken the fender off a Honda. The metal on it is LITERALLY 2mm thick at most. It weighs like 1lb. CF Fenders are a huge waste of money.

Weight savings are nil.

As ugly as they may be, they release hot air from under the hood...it actually is functional.
Gilled Fenders on a Honda don't release any hot air, there is no opening behind the fenders into the engine bay, its just metal frame behind the fenders. The gills are useless.

Actually it is, why else would F1 cars be made completely of carbon fiber.

I know my stock hood weighed about 40lbs, and my CF hood weighs about 18lbs. So its 2x as light and equally as strong if not stronger, and it seems more dent resistant and stuff.
