Most people out there think homos want special rights... that's SO not the case. I sure as hell don't expect any kind of special treatment. Being a lesbian is WHAT I am... not WHO I am. Some gays let the fact that they are gay run their whole lives. They need to get hobbies. Shoot.. if that's all I dwelled on.. GAHD I'd be annoying. I've never played the gay card.. because.. People are actually shocked when they find out about me. Guess I don't look the part. Maybe cause I like makeup and dont dress like the typical "bull dyke" If you hate gays. Fine.. that's really no concern of mine or not. I've other things to worry about weather you hate me or not. Though.. it's pretty stupid to form an opinion of someone before you know them. I've also noticed that, over time, 25%-50% of the extremely outspoken homophobic people I knew back in High School ended up either coming out of the closet, or doing their best to stay in the closet while not out clubbing for the same sex.
And gay people are essentially that... people. That's the most basic fact of all...

Allowing same-sex marriage would obviously not be the government forcing it upon say, the Catholic church or something. It would just mean that two people of the same sex would be able to legally classify their relationship as a marriage in the same fashion which two people of opposite sexes are able to.
Marriage in this country aside from all the religion stuff is a legal procedure which doesn't have to be performed by a member of any denomination's clergy. The government gives those religious types the legal authority to conduct marriages, but it's just as simple for people to go to their local courthouse and fill out some paperwork.
Personally if two dudes want to play a game of butt darts that's their own business and I'm not one to say they should or shouldn't do it.
