Well not quite infite, as you suffer from bounds (you can't advance/retard beyond a certain number), and also from are constrained by resolution, aka, you can't fine tune adjust to .001 of a degree.

I'm just being picky/technical, the K20A? has dynamic valve adjustment (and lift) (i-Vtec), unlike the old vtec, where we switched between two static cam profiles).

If you have a K20? the USDM base model, only has the i-vtec on the intake cam, kinda like a SOHC-vtec. The USDM type-s, and the EDM/JDM type-r have i-vtec on both the intake and exhaust cams.

But maybe you don't have a K20? at all, maybe you're a toyota guy (VVTL-I)...

Also, since JDM engines don't have a numeric suffix, the D15B is several engines over there, from the economy minded "3-stage vtec model" to the d15b everyone swaps over here, that has power roughly equivalent with our D16Z6.
