The way I understood it, there is a dual stage vtec, the vtec-E, it's an emissions thing, not a power thing.
The way that I understand things, the D15b makes power like a d16z, but at higher RPMs.
I could be wrong.
And sorry, this thread was primarily lame, I think there is some fun to be made of stunnas (ricers) with the whole dual vtec thing. Maybe the only redeeming thing coming out of this thread will be saleen plastered tegs, hehehe.

not B16A.... maybe the D16.
the D15B is basically a D16 with .01 liter smaller displacement. they are not rare....they are found on all VTi civic's in JDM land. they are just not as popular to have as the B16.

One of my rides are a d15b and that can't keep up with my fat ass running. Hehe nah It's a cool little engine but I can't keep up with no b16!
