car & driver tested an old e36m3 running 14.3 @98mph...

we all know how conservative car & driver numbers are
alot of e36 m3 owners run high 13s...<13.9> - flat 14s...
and im still talking bout the non lightweight version...the euro m3...and the m3s with smg

bmw are more mod friendly than hondas..
so the mods added like chip...exhaust..and intake does help alot..

you do realize the euro M3 has the 333 hp E46 engine right? hrmm maybe that has something to do with it. I haven't seen a stock or intake USDM spec M3 around here ever run a high 13. They are mid 14 second cars stock

Does your civic run high 10's @ almost 130 mph?
That's unbelievable.

Yes it makes more power because it's the 333 hp motor, they were available in the E36 bodies in europe with a 6spd or SMG. They basically shipped that motor (i'm not sure the code) over to the US and put them in the E46's. My uncle was telling me this a year before the E46 came out, he wanted to do the euro 333 hp motor swap into his 99

maybe the standard motor but i KNOW for a fact you could get the 333 hp motor in the E36 body in europe. And i don't see any euro spec m3's running around here either hitting high 13's. I live in america and i assume you do too so no stock m3's i would be racing run nowhere near high 13.

man this got off topic

anyway, with bolt-ons the manual versions aren't so bad, but yeah, definitely a car that should cost about $4k less for what it is
