This is probably going to get shut down, but are Lexus IS300s a joke or what? The other day I was comin home from my girlfriend's house... going the speedlimit and minding my business, when a gunmetal-colored Lexus IS300 flys up next to me. It has jet-black tinted windows... makes me scared... not. He does the floor it, let off, floor it, let off type of crap... going forward and drifting back, meanwhile, we're cruising at 65mph. I look at him (where I think he/she'd be located through the straight black window tint), and calmly shake my head in disgust. He/she starts gunning it. I simply popped it into third gear and quickly overtook him/her. As I was passing, I waved to the car and then the shift light indicated it was time to blaze into fourth gear, leaving the IS far behind. I mean seriously, why pay $30k for a car that has absolutely no go? Is it really worth it?

IS300 15.08 1/4 mile, they are pretty quick if you ask me...you sure it wasn't a Mitsubishi Mirage with altezza's?:chuckles:......they must be shitty driver.

 

where'd you hear that? it's very doubtful... it's the second one I owned. I'm not even talking close race... after third gear, I was gone... both times. Also, pay no attention to my track time... I only got to run once... and it was a shitty time. I know I can run better.

i have some friends say IS300s are just a fixed up civic.

 

I didn't hear that I saw it at a track......my boy bought a 2003 IS300 and he ran 15.14, 15.28, and 15.08 on final run at the track.....aslo if you read Import Tuner it gives its ET at 15.09 i think.....but if you are talkin top end wise and you got swap, you prolly get a bad ass jump on it for sure and pull some top end.

The IS is a tight looking automobile, and it will be muuuuuch better if/when they release their v8 model.
