It takes more to build an LSVTEC than just slapping on the VTEC head. That block cannot take 8k rpms in stock form, which is why the motor gets a bad rap. People don't understand this for some reason, and decide to push it to 8k and beyond...then end up with a blown motor. When properly built, the motor is strong and runs hard, but not a cheap one to build. I'm with you on loving the Integra body style, I would rather have it than a hatch...I might be slower, I don't care. I would swap a GSR, or go to a manual LS tranny and go turbo.

consider the $$$ situation and whats realistic

95 auto teg...if kept clean...u probably can sell it for 4.5k
another 3.4k for swap + labor and whatnots...maybe 4k total..
you can then sell ur engine for maybe 1k <max>
thats 8.5k - 1k = 7.5k for 95gsr and its not a stock car

sale value will b down and you can do more for that 7.5k

if u really want to go fast...get a hatch + 2.0
if u just want a gsr...sell what u have and buy a gsr
