I did my first engine swap in a SuperBeetle. took about an hour...

h:

a couple bolts, 2 people, lift the rear over the engine, set new engine on floor, lift the rear over engine, lift engine onto mounts, couple bolts, and you're done...

In the U.S. & Canada

They still sell them in Mexico & I'm sure other countries as well.

our exhaust regulations keep them from being in the US, though you can pick one up in Mexico for 4g's then pay another 4 for the exhaust upgrade to bring em over.
