i'm not saying there's anything wrong with the ring. or even that girls like big rings. that's fine, and i hope i can get a ring as nice as this for my girl when it comes to that. but the fact that the ring would make a girl say yes no matter what is not cool with me. i'm sorry i have a bigger dream than just settling for a girl that marries me because i bought her a big ring. but that's just the way i feel.

 

and i can understand this to a point. i mean, if he's rich, but gets you a cheesy ring, then there's something else to worry about. but if he gets you the best ring he can afford, and it isn't anything special, then the ring shouldn't be the basis of the decision. :dunno: maybe my thought process is just skewed.
