diamonds are marked up about 300%.
the higher the quality and bigger the size the more marked up they are [/yoda]

they were really poor, but he replaced it with a real one but, she treasures the crackerjack one much more.
of course you don't get rings in cracker jack any more

I have to look at my wife's certificate but it is in the top three for cut, color and clarity, .76 or .79 in weight and is worth about $5,000...although I paid a lot less because I went to my parents jeweler. Her wedding ring is a wrap with to .33 diamonds on either side of her engagement ring so it looks like one ring with 3 diamonds. At some point I will have the band redone to make it one ring instead of two...I will probably get another couple of diamonds on it too.
