It's that time, i'm not in the Squad, but i'm getting ready to hit the gym hardcore. 6 days a week, 2 hours a day. I've been faithful to the gym fo the past year, i've got my fat down to where i want it to be. I've lost 23 pounds since December. Now it's time to Bulk up and get large. I'm weighing 185lbs now. I plan on gaining 3lbs of muscle every 2 weeks. Cutting my body fat to reach an all time low of 8% for myself. Too bad there is nobody close who can help fuel the fire at the gym. Just thought i'd share.

that is to many times a week you're going to burn yourself out and that isn't a good thing at all..

every other day do different muscle groups that is the way to go otherwise you're gonna hurt yourself.

I feel ya on the burning myself out thing. I've just had it and it's now that time to hit it harder than ever. I've been trying to rehab my shoulder on my own and i'm feeling better than i ever have for abot 8 months now. I don't know if i tore something or just strained it really bad. I was incline benching with 85lb dumbbells and my right arm basically gave out. I had a sharp pain in the front of my shoulder and i've had to go soft and take it easy for a long time.

ya man but quality over quanity.. if you're going to absolute exhaustion of the muscles that'll be better than doing 1,000 reps. the way to bulk up is by breaking down the muscle fibers and letting them heal over a period of time.

however with your shoulder thing maybe more reps is a good idea.. if you go to failure you could hurt it again... talk to a personal trainer see what they say

I wouldn't lift that much, especially if you wanna pack on a lot of muscle. Your muscles need rest to grow. I would lift 3 to 4 days a week. If you wanna do cardio the other days fine, but lifting that many times a week you'll burn out fast and not gain the muscle mass you want.

I appreciate the advice guys. The cardio is a must for me. I hate running and things, but That's one day of workout right there. Treadmill, stairstepper, rowing machine, bicycle. The more reps of light weight for the shoulder helped alot on those months. I will have to check out with a trainer and see what they say.

is it a rotartor cuff injury? If so I have the perfect solution to it. Go to http://www.shoulderhorn.com/ and order that. I had rotator cuff probelms. With doing this I have no more problems. It strenghtens the shoulders and has helped me in my pushing expercises since now I can handle more weight with no pain.

Yeah, I think you should go 3 times a week for an hour instead. Your muscles need time to heal and grow. Congradulations on your weight loss. I know how good it feels to make progress on your fitness goals. Best of luck to you in the future!
