I meant for pizza delivery guys. that's what I read once or twice :dunno:

 

I tipped $1 at the Trop but valet parking only costs $2. They guy was flying through the tunnel in the car so I said to him, "enjoy the drive?"

 

Well, when I am paying for college, a car payment, insurance, rent, all my misc bills (no credit cards thank god) by myself, then it is very important that I make some of my dough from tips. Mostly my hourly pays for rent and insurance. All my tips pay for everything else. It is hard to have cash in hand every night and not go out and blow it. We all have had min wage jobs, I actually kinda miss Taco Bell.

 

Oh yeah, our valet service is free, we work for tips. The only time we have to charge is when we valet for a parking garage that wants to charge because of an event nearby, but they get all that cash.

 

I tip well, no matter where, except if the waiter at denny's gives me crappy service and doesnt fill up my coffee once, or ask how the meal was.

My dad works Valet and 80-90% of his money forn the job is tips.

 

I so hear ya..I worked as a Cage Cashier at a casino..and most of our pay was from tips...if we did shitty in tips then we sure felt it...so shitty tippers :madfawk:

 

A lot of people don't realize that jobs exist where the majority of the pay comes in tips. But. I tip in proportion to the service. If a waiter/waitress is nice but doesn't give the greatest service, I'm not giving them the greatest tip. Unless I'm out with this one "friend" of mine who says she always gives a big tip because she used to be a waitress...then I give a big tip so I don't look like an asshole and she puts out later in the evening.
