I get to test drive my friend's Supra soon!!
I'm scared though... I'm afraid I'll love it too much and need to have one. They any good for autocrossing, even though they're heavy fawkers?

You can take anything to an autocross. Are you trying to be competitive or are you just trying to have some fun? Just keep in mind that it's harder to learn car control on a heavy, powerful car as opposed to a nimble lightweight car that may or may not have a lot of horsepower.
mostly it's fun, but I wanna get good at it, too. That way I can say I'm good at something :happysad:
I've been looking more into those 240sx car machines. I know they're the next civic when it comes to modding, but for now they're relatively uncommon in this area for modding. it's still the accords, Integs and civics. I've seen like, 5 modded nissans, and 4 were 300zx's. I've seen about 6 modded MR2's, but an inifinite number of modded Hondas.
Now, comparing an MR2 with the turbo, LSD, and ABS stock stuff, and a 240sx with an SR20DET swap with the exact same driver. Which do you think would be better?

i think that the s would have the advantage over the sw. but thats a very biased opinon, me dont knowie much about mr2's.
anyhoo, i'd strongly recommend keeping s15 engines in s15 chassis, s14 engines in s14 chassis, and s13 engines in s13 chassis. if you want to put an s15 engine into a 14 or 13, you will need a modded driveshaft, which will be a bish. s15's six speed trannys aren't all that, they just have a "whoa" factor. s14 engine into an s13 chassis works without that much hassle, but it isn't worth the money.
If you want more power out of an sr, go with a bigger turbo. gt2835
$5000 is kinda pricey. i'd go to srswap.com for a better deal on an engine.

since you have that much money you should look into buying a mini....then putting in any engine (b16/18 or rotary for instance) light, quick, powerful, great turning ability
i know they're small and some may think they're ugly but i luv me some mini
i'm talking about the classic one of course

If you think about it, an MR2 Turbo already comes with basically everything you need while a 240SX requires an engine swap (the SR bolts up to the KA transmission) and some assorted other things. Depends kind of on if you want a project or if you want something that's got everything right away.
A word to the wise: a '93-'95 MR2 Turbo with ABS and LSD isn't exactly a common thing to find.
How well do Civic Si coupes handle on them autocrosses? I know when you're CivicSiRacer you own, but for the beginner. Is it best to learn the autocross or track racing with a front wheel drive car? or AWD, or RWD?
I'd kinda like the RWD since I'd wanna drift. :driving: But that's kind of a bad thing for me, since there's nowhere around here I could really keep my skills up
Except around corners that are green and right turn only
