Default Previous model RX-7 (86-91)

yay or nay?

I've been looking at those a lil bit. Mostly because of Initial D, but I think Ryosuke's looks nice, and I'm wondering how they are as daily drivers and autocross cars. I'm talkin the turbo version, of course. Also, how does it compare to the 93+ RX-7?

I'm trying to keep it a bit under 15k, so the 93+ model isn't totally out of the question, but it's close.

If it's not a great car, then what's a better one for those necessities? I'm not all knowledgable in different car types, so I have to ask you guys since most of you have knowledge of various cars.

get a FD....the FC is MINE!!

the FD is lighter but the FC has a better turning radius
c'mon guy....you really dun want the FC

I've been wanting one for so long

if you're going turbo you might as well get the FD since it has a significant amount of more power than turbo FC:naughty:

Well... the FC is cheaper... but the FD looks a bit better IMO, and has better power. Now I did an online search nationwide on autotrader, and found a ton of FDs under 15k. I just think that insurance would rape me prison style. But it'd almost be worth it. :chuckles:

you know... Even if you got that FC, you wouldn't be the only one on this board... But yeah. The RX7 has a lot of admirers, but it also has that bigger chance of gettin jacked

but it'll be one less FC on the board

.....it doesn't have a higher chance than a civic tho
Hondas and Toyotas are always on top

Acuras also. Integs have a high ass risk. I gotta find the mpg specs on the FD.

I just don't know what car to get. I've got so much time to think about it, but I wanna have a few set in my mind that I want to consider, and choose between, that way when I can actually afford to get a new car, I'll know just what I want and I'd just have to find the right one for me, and the price

But I've been looking around and finding that these cars are actually really good in autocross and track stuff. Not to mention the great straight line racing possibilities. doesn't have to be a 10-second car Just noticably faster than a civic. :lmao:

mpg is kinda teh suck on the FD. 17/25 that's weak...

I think I'm too picky. I eliminate a lot of cars from my lists, just by finding one bad thing about them. I should just go test drive all the cars I like and can afford. Yes... I should do that.

similar to my tastes... MR2s are nice... but there's so many around here. 240sx isn't as common around here. But there's not enough power in it for me. I'd have to swap the motor, and I don't wanna do a ton of motor work this early on. I want a car with enough power off the bat.

Kinda sick that a 1.3 liter motor would eat gas like that. rotary is very odd. but crazy power.
