if youve got 15K to spend you can get a pretty decent FD. Ive seen a perfect condition S5 TII (FC) selling for 9000$, i dont think you can get any better than that car in an FC. And that one is too nice and too stock to mod, you should just find a nice FD... and if youre really worried about gas mileage, neither of these cars are for you.

I have both, and I actually like the FC better, I'm always worried everytime I drive the FDit may break. That is why it is in storage untill I am out of school. Then I will be able to afford a new engine every year!

But seriously, the FC's are great, but get an S5 TII, they can be hard to find, and still somewhat pricey, but they are worth it. I am still looking for a '91 FC TII in Brave Blue Mica to complement my '91 FC N/A. Impossible.

Get a cheap FC (preferably with a blown engine) and give these guys a ringy-dinghy:

The FD is an awesome car but expect to pay as much for repairs on the thing as you do on insurance. I'd say it's a good idea that if you have say $15k to spend on the car and that's it, don't get an FD. Insurance and maintenance will burn up any surplus you have real quick.
