thats exactly what i was going to say. i don;'t think any human can handle those extreme speeds. i mean you have to go through intense training to go on a spaceship which doesn't go anywhere near the speed of light imagine what you would feel going 800,000+ mph.

I don't think it possible.....
You have to travel faster than the speed of light
But what I have read as you near the speed of light and at the exact speed, weights of objects change and stretch or shrink
but if you were traveling a little over the speed of light and traveling back in time, how fast would time reverse, and do you and your vehicle stand still in time as things change around you, if they did it would be like the movie time machine and buildings would start to appear around you that wern't there in the future where you are from because they were taken down say in the past.

.now if you stopped your machine and came out in the past you could end up interrrupting the past, the past is already written, so if you think about it...say a family driving in a car had crashed and everyone was lossed say in 1960 , where you now are, and since you were there they slammed on the brakes because of you walking in the road a block before the supposed accident was supposed to take place, therefore the family would not have a crash and died, this would create a paradox which messes up the space time continuem causing everything to erase and there would be no more(thats the tricky part that no one knows what will happen if this did happen) now that family would be alive and all those people going to a funeral would no longer go to a funeral and all events that took place due to that single car accident would never take place and everything would be messed up in all future events 1 sec after that one event occured, now think...there would be no ambulance on the scene which would cause other cars to pull over maybe one pulling over would run over a dog on a curb which would later maybe eat a cat which was supposed to be later that night sleeping near a backdoor that was being broken in by a robber that meowed to wake up another family so they would be save from the robber which then was caught then sent to Jail, all those events would not tanke place because of you.........kind of corney ....so thats what I think anyone else think the same as me

it's impossible to travel the speed of light, as you travel close to the speed of light your mass actually increases (or effective mass) meaning that the force required to continue accelerate the force will have to grow massively, and to achieve the speed of light, you would need infinite force (which is impossible) and going faster than light is impossible so why connect traveling faster than light to time travel

I've actually done a lot of reading on the subject. Einsteins Theory of Relativity put us in the general direction. You guys should look up stories about The Philadelphia Experiment. Thats a good one. Also, time travel doesnt have to be exactly how you think it is. Imagine you're in a spaceship traveling thru a wormhole to the nearest star - Alpha Centauri. It will take 1 year for the light to get back to Earth from there. You leave Earth and go thru the wormhole to the star. You arrive. The image of you arriving does not get to a telescope on Earth for a year. Technically, in our reality, or our relative perception, you're 1 year ahead of us. You went forward 1 year because it will take a year for us to catch up. Pretty interesting eh?

This thread is kinda old, but I think time travel will be possible. Most likely not in our lifetime but definitly possible. Some day scientists will find a powerful enough power source to propel a space ship faster than the speed of light. Just like if Ikeep modding my Civic it will be faster than a Vette. Another problem is the frrail human body, if you watch Ghost in the Shell in the future we will probably have cyberbrain and artificial body, those things can be made to withstand the force of traveling at light speed.

I believe time travel is possible, but we won't see it in our lifetime.
