Default Dumb asses at Jiffy Lube

I went in to get an oil change today and have them rotate my tires and the fuckers stripped the lug on the back passenger side!!! The supervisor that was there was cool though, he handled it very professionally, I have to take my car back in in the morning and they're going to replace everything, they weren't able to tonight because all the Honda Dealers in the area were already closed.

It would have been very easy to get pissed off, but the sup. was cool, so I was cool about it as well...

anyone else with jiffy lube stories?

I don't have anywhere to do it here, I'll be moving soon though, and will definately start doing it myself.. I used to when I lived at home and had a shed to do it in.

my jiffy lube story....first time changing the filter, didn't have the right wrench for it, so i took it to jiffy lube to put on my new one, ok $5 i was cool, next time i changed my filter...it was on too tight(they must have used a wrench to tighten it wayyyy toooo much) the wrench twisted the filter in two almost, i used three different wrenches, none of them worked, so basically i had a destroyed oil filter stuck on my car that i could not get off. got it towed the next morning to the shop for them to get it off....AAA life saver, free towing ...so :madfawk: jiffy lube

It's always nice when the guy covered in OIL tries to wash your windows. That's real nice. never again.

not once have i brought my car to one of those shops, nor will i ever. you can always find some place to change your oil. go to a parking lot if you're really that hard up for a spot.

and i dunno, man.. you really think you can trust them to fix the same they that they screwed up? :ugh:

I was 16 and it was the first and last time i'll ever have anyone change my oil. I drove in, they changed the oil. Pull it out, i see it has a couple of drops of oil on the ground, figured it was excess if they got sloppy with the oil. Drive away and my oil light came on. pull into the parking lot next door and get out. There is a line of oil from their parking lot to the next. They didn't tighten my drain plug at all and all the oil came gushing out as i drove those 10 feet. I walked over there and almost beat some ass. I got a free oil change that i tore up in front of the guys face. Then they cut me a check to have my car inspected by the dealer to make sure no damage was done. ( There was none, but just to be safe than sorry) :madfawk: jiffy lube.

That reminds me of my roommate's experience 2 months ago at jiffy lube. He doesn't know anything about cars and thats fine with me, but the guy is still the dumbest person in the world. So of course he went in for a simply oil change and came back with a receipt for $130. They told him he needed all this shit, 30pt. inspection, blah blah blah, and of course like an idiot he said, "oh, ok."
