Hmm lets see it was the thing all the cool people were doing. I decided to take it a step further and started abusing prescription drugs. Next thing ya know I am going through counselling and rehab. Then they put me on anti depressants and sleeping pills. I threw away all my pills, sure it sucks trying to sleep... but I am fighting it.

So bottom line is, do what you want whether its sex, drugs, alcohol, etc, etc but remember the consequences are not always fun to deal with.

 

sXe, Straight edge = people who don't do any drugs or alcohol. There is also Hardliners which are like the asshole sXe people who don't let OTHER people do drugs etc...

I've been sXe for probably about 7 or 8 years at this point (damn, I feel old). Its kind of hard at times...when you're friends are doing all kinds of stuff and you just have to sit back and watch. None of my friends were sXe, so it made things kind of awkward at times, but you manage. I had seen from many people the way that substances can completely fu ck you life up. From my friend who literally fried her brain on LSD, to some Alcoholics I know who have completely ruined the lives of themselves and their families. When you see this kind of shit, and think about it, its kind of an easy decision. I know that I will never have to deal with those types of issues...and its a nice feeling. Its just one less thing to worry about. Besides, being sXe comes in handy at times. Your friends will always have a DD when you go out, and by doing that, you're doing them a favor and preventing them from potentially driving drunk...so you're doing something good for them to. As I said, its not easy at times, but its not something I regret.

There are a number of different types of sXe...people take it to different levels. You have you vegan sXes who won't consume anything except organic bean curds and sh!t like that. Some won't take any type of chemical substance at all. I'm not like that. If I'm sick, and I really need to, I'll go to the doctor and get some medicine....I'm not going to be stupid. I just don't take anything that alters my mental state (whether legal or not) or anything that I do not absolutely need to take.
