Crank position sensor...these are notorious for starting/running problems on our Cherokees.

Not really.

I know when it went out on my truck the engine would intermittently shut off, not sure if it's the same for the jeeps though.

Ok I should not of listened to the woman about the issues of the car

Just went out to the car. Cold starting cranked for a good 10 seconds. once started I let it run for about 10 mins. Shut it down. Started again and it fired right up. Tried again and it fired right up again.
