Can't decide what to do with dinner tonight

i have a couple pounds of fresh perch my pops caught this last weekend ice fishing and sent down to me. going to pan fry with some family secret seasonings and can't decide what to make with it

skin on mashed potatoes?
a rice of some kind?
steak?

any ideas

Monday night is Warrior Meal Monday for me. It is really easy and tastes mad good.

You grab two of these chicken sausages:



and a box of this stuff:



Slice up the chicken sausage to your liking. Throw a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet and heat up that chicken sausage on medium heat for about 7-10 min. While you're doing that, just microwave the vegetables up and then combine it all when you're done. Low fat, decent protein, very delicious.

went with home style fries and some baked beans and corn salad

was epic good. did some math on local market prices ... we ate about $200 worth of perch tonight between the two of us h:

feel sooo fat lol

Actually, frozen vegetables are fresher than veggies in the produce section in most cases, because they are frozen shortly after harvested which allows them to maintain their original freshness longer.

There are lots more factors that affect taste then just freshness :dunno:

Well the nice thing about cooking is you can change whatever you want about recipe, so go ahead and use fresh vegetables if you want boss
