if they say they have no control ... get back online, find out a contact line to their HR dept, call and ask where would be the best place to send a resume maybe?

talked to the branch manager and he works through a recruiter. he said he was going to pass my name to the recruiter and call me back. they have two openings he is looking to fill

Here in NYC Bank managers do have a relationship with the HR people and they are able to recommend someone and even request an interviewd with that canditate.
I ask a manager to recommend a friend and she got the call and the job. She was right for the job.

Yes, but most of the time they don't have the final say. They can provide input, though, I agree.

Depends on the area, I'm sure down in SoCal it will be a little bit higher. Without prior banking/telling, I'd say anywhere from $10-$13 per hour.

I'm glad you got to meet him. I'd definitely say it's worth the effort -- it might not help, but it almost certainly won't hurt. You only need it to work once.

Basic F/T Teller. They also have a personal banker spot open I think also.
