dude, i got my 97 ram 1500 for $2500.. its been great! and there is nothing redneck about it.. pop it into 4wd for a whole world of difference, and you can carry stuff, and people (make sure you get an ext cab at least)

sure its not the prettiest but it gets the job done and im very happy with it.

Exactly...finally. My 85 toyota has been getting it done for 25 years, still goes strong. Even the newer '00-'02+ trucks can still be nice and not that expensive. Park it on the street, 1+ of snow-middle of summer, theyre functional all year. Depending on what make you get, they get good MPG's too. The '85 still gets about 25MPG city

How can they not be socially acceptable. I can understand if it had something like 6" body and 3" suspension with huge 37" tires and a Dukes of Hazard paint job...but I dont see how a nice looking newer truck can be "socially unacceptable." You cant tell me that there arent people who drive trucks in Montreal, and if the do, are they looked down upon?

6" body and 3" suspension *lift....missed that word

In the city itself? it's fairly rare... You really dont see trucks all that much. Up north and other places here you see them. But it's really not acceptable in my circle of firends. It's not like they'll not be my freinds anymore it just doesn't fit with me.

on a side note it sucks that these are so ugly

it just seems like it would have the criteria youre looking for, but I can def understand that they may not fit your personality and lifestyle
