So I went back today and it def smells less. I'm not sure if it's the pluggin or if the smell went away. I'll turn off the plugging and if it still smells I'll call the landlord.

 

Just saying that if you keep spaces open, that would be the best place to host parties. Of course, then my queen bed would have a lot of chicks in it.

my whole building (used to be a tavern, built in 1885) is built of the shit (cream city brick), and the whole basement is brick too. creepy old tavern basement.

 

So... now i'm pretty much all settled in. Yesterday i was trying to figure out the wiring for the internet. I'm a nobb at this shit but what exacly should i do this this:


I'm assuminf each of these slot represents a network jack in the apt right? so i just plug from the router port in the slot, then the network jack in the apt will work right?

 

wtf....i know what that is...but the only time i've seen something like that was when i was punching in phones. But anyway, everything already looks to be wired. I'd just plug a PC in the jack and see if you get network connectivity.

 

but my modem is not even plugged into that shit LOL I was thinking i take a network cable from the modem (or router) into 1 of the slots and that just acts like a prewired extension... i need to figure it out i guess. I dont even have a network cable though.

 

isn't that for phone?
