The first thing I ever do to a computer from the factory is format it, get rid of all the junk. And dual boot it with Ubunutu
How long did it take you to get the Windows 7 disk once you ordered it from Dell?

If you are asking me, I didn't get it from Dell. Mine is an evaluation copy that works like a CHARM! Installed in about 30 minutes, already had all the drivers so I didn't have to go track down video, wi-fi, mouse, keyboard, etc once installed. Got right to installing programs and learning its quirks.

I hate Vista, I honestly think it was the worst operating system ever written. I hope 7 is much better. If not, I am going back to XP for a long time.

I was asking you. I had to order the upgrade DVD from Dell, was wondering how long it took. It is a free upgrade, but you still have to ask for it or they won't send it.

Vista was nowhere NEAR as bad as Windows Me....that shit was horrid. I am liking 7 right now. No software issues yet. I heard it can even run as XP somewhere...don't remember where I read it though.
