Psycho Ex-Girlfriend rant [not a poll]
kay: There won't be any. She claims to have given all the contact that's occurred in the years since... and if 14 year-old emails from 2 early-20's kids constitutes any kind of current threat, that's insane. I'd be happy to go to court and let a jury decide if there is any, but I doubt anything will come of this. I never had any intentions of ever contacting her since, and never will. :hi5:
Initially? She never did. It's been understood since we broke up 14 years ago. I sent her a birthday present I had bought her the day before we broke up and she sent it back. A week after the breakup I went to a public art show where she had work on display, knowing she wouldn't be there. I complimented her work in an email which seemed to poke fun at my smoking habit, and she exploded at me. When I got home, the returned gift was on my front porch. That's when it stopped.
 I see what you did there!
I learned what my mom sent her today, and it was nothing but kind. I understand her intentions were completely innocent, but still, it was totally wrong of her to get involved. I haven't made it a point to say anything unkind about her to my mom in the years since, or dig up dirt, so my mom just thought she might be a friend or at least civil. In fact, my reply to my mom's email telling me what happened was nothing but kind and complimentary towards my ex, and still wishing her the best. What? Am I gonna doom and gloom my sweet old mom about something that happened in 1996? I'm 37 now. How can you live as a victim for this many years? I just don't get it? I really don't have any hard feelings at all, but certainly don't want my mom and myself being threatened because she tried to say something nice with good intentions. 'guess it just proves the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
