Frankly, this is what talk radio has given us...a world in which there's no respect for elected leaders if they're from the wrong political party. If we are to believe Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Savage and the rest of them, every single thing that's evil and wicked in this country is Obama's fault. During the previous eight years, the equivalent bloviators on the left, many fewer in number, blamed everything on W. Obama thought he was going to bring back bipartisanship, but he didn't count on the head of the Republican party (yes, that's what Limbaugh is) exhorting his slavish minions to pray for Obama's failure as a president, and for all the other right-wing talk-show hosts to fall in line behind Drill Sgt. Limbaugh. When people just talk past each other, when debate consists of personal attacks and insults rather than a factual appraisal of the issues, when lawmakers forget that the best laws this nation has enacted throughout its history were forged from bipartisan coalitions, you get what we have today...a lot of screaming and yelling, and very little meaningful work getting done.

One of the more comic/tragic things about American society today is to hear otherwise smart level-headed people endlessly parroting their favorite line from a talk-show host whose only qualification to be a talk-show host is their continuously running mouth. You know the type: "Wow, Savage is so right: liberalism IS a mental disease." "The only way we're going to fix what's wrong with this country is to kill George W. Bush." Some of these people can't even tie their shoes without some loud moron with a microphone in his hand telling them how. The cause of an informed electorate is not served by what passes for political debate in this era, where everyone is compelled to take sides and facts take a back seat to agendas.

i heard that on two occasions republicans (presumably) tried to add in rules to the bills that specifically stated that illegals couldn't be eligible and both times the proposals were denied. wish i had a source for this.

So, tell us when anyone yelled out during presidential speeches given by W, his old man, or Ronald Reagan?

Common courtesy = not interrupting someone while they're talking.

Just because a proposal gets denied doesn't mean that was the cause. You know this happens all the time in trying to get a bill passed. Representatives will vote no on a bill due to pork barrel spending or other billions of earmarks and then their opponents will use that no vote saying "my opposition doesn't support giving our troops flack jackets!".

let's focus on W for starters..
http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennt...different.html
In 2004, Democrats delivered a “Chorus Of Boos” during Bush's Bush’s State Of The Union when he called for renewal of the Patriot Act., according to the Washington Times.

In 2005, Dems howled, hissed and shouted "No!" when Bush pushed for Social Security reform in the SOU: "Foreshadowing the contentiousness of the coming debate, Democrats broke decorum and booed twice," according to the National Journal.

At the time, CNN's Bill Schneider remarked, “It was unusual. I had never heard it at least at that level before. The Democrats clearly were booing, heckling, saying no when the president talked about the crisis in Social Security."
i even have a video for you: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid...the_union.html

from the same link as above,

Moreover, Obama's claim that illegal immigrants won't be covered -- which sparked Wilson's outburst -- while technically accurate, doesn't quite tell the entire story. Some of the bills being considered in the House and Senate contain provisions locking in local statutes that prevent providers from inquiring about immigration status prior to treatment. And illegals are treated, and are bound to be treated, in ERs, covered by local, state and federal uninsured pools.
but keep drinking the koolaid, fellas.
