...as far as apt's go?

We are going to look at an apt for Sarah today a few miles from me, and its a 2 story house. Top floor is a 1br and the bottom is a 2br, top is cheaper, obviously.

As far as someone else moving in eventually, whats the better pick?

 

Bottom. Easier moving, easier grocery loading, etc...plus heat rises, but then again in your area that might be a good thing.

 

top, unless its a complete bitch to move up the stairs
its almost always worth being the annoying upstairs neighbor rather than having one

If you can, find a townhouse-style apt. That way, your upstairs neighbors are YOU (2nd story), and the neighbors underneath are the sleeping cars (subterranean parking)
