What would HAN do v. hail damage
Just to update everyone, I did sell the Acura. I had decided to just drive the golf-balled RSX. However, at my condo we've always technically only been allowed 2 parking spots (1 garage 1 surface), but they've never had a mechanism to enforce it so I've had no problem parking 3 cars there (RSX, 4Runner, fiancee's Impreza). But now they've issued stickers (2 per household) and have started towing cars without stickers, so we have to consolidate down to just 2 cars or wait for one of my cars to get towed.
I sold the Acura for $12,000 via Craigslist, so combined with the $8,769 I got from the insurance I basically got just under $21k for a car that cost me $24,500 new and I drove for 4.5 years and 42,000 miles. I was planning on driving the 4Runner for a while until I bought an Xterra and then sell it, but the 4Runner blew its headgasket Monday night on my way home from the Rockies loss to the Phillies (what a rough Monday), so it's also on CL as a shell/parts truck and I am going to the dealer tomorrow to check out Xterras.
Keep your eyes peeled for the de riguer "Went out for a bag of milk" thread...

If your runner were a 4-banger I would be all over it
After driving the v6 through the mountains and never getting above 40mph in 3rd gear, I couldn't imagine how tedious it would be with 22RE. They're solid motors, but the 30hp deficit compared to the 3.0 would suck.
But at least the headgasket probably wouldn't have blown.
