It annoys me too. Every now and again I donate.
Never had a place announce it over the pa system. That seems annoying and over the top.

Since it's at a retail business I want a receipt with the name of the charity so that I can prove it on my taxes.

..Specialy during Movie season!!!Cant go to the Theatre without someone asking me if id like to donate a dollar to charity..Ive yet to say no..cause id feel like a dick.
