Oh you were working on the live panel? I thought you were just at a junction box. Lol, that scares the crap outta me too - you are probably like me and have a 200 amp service. Those 200 amps will cook a person pretty fast. My electric boiler takes 100 of those amps, and when it runs full out, the 100 amp cord going to it gets warm.

Yeah same thing here. I have a 200 amp service, but from the pole it is about 230 coming in on the hot terminals, so you can run 220 wiring for dryers and such.

Like I said, I said some prayers before, during and after, and I am glad the good Lord let me spend some more days on this earth. One time was a little hairy and I should have gotten shocked, but luckily just a spark

It's not the volts that matter. It's the amps.

Ever played around a 400 amp circuit? Yeah...NOT fun. Make sure you have a buddy next to you with a wooden bat ready to break your arms should something happen.

Hope that I can build my own house one day...that would be tits...rather than adjusting to a place and making it work.

I don't have an external disconnect on the outside of my house coming from my meter. And if I did that, I would have no way to see in order to wire up the box

It is not dangerous unless you put your hands in the wrong spots. You do that and bzzzzzt.

Touch any of the areas in Red, and you will light up like the 4th of July.

Because he's Chris. He's a master of all and a slave to none. The man commands electricity and wood. If he wanted to, he could send you a book case with a built in tesla coil.

You crack me up.

I just get lucky sometimes with what I do. I really don't know much at all it just seems that way sometimes.

Just ran some numbers. Going to be over budget if things come in at what I budgeted for them at the beginning. Nothing major, but over budget nonetheless.

So did I, but I am the only one working on it right now. I am the only one that has worked on it for more than a month.

And by that I mean me, just me. And it takes a lot longer to do things by yourself.
