I have seen it happen more than a few times. They also have a shopping list of what is in the vehicle which will make it even more worth their time.

I could see the point if you were posting information about a souped up integra with lots of steal-able goodies. For a stock vehicle, I see no purpose.

To me the worst part of getting a car stolen is the logistic issue- Though I don't think getting a rental car would be as hard as it was when I was 18

Well, that and any personals that might be in the car... but I just never leave anything in the car that I can't afford to lose

I have 2 cars so if the MR2 is stolen, I'd still have transportation.

I don't know how many times I've posted my license plate on the web, being a personal plate it draws more attention than a regular one anyway.
