The former, yes.
Thanks. For some reason she's stuck on this Equinox. My cousin has an Acadia and she loves but I know they are different models. I suppose we're going to go drive it and during the test drive I'll find things to point out that are worse than a CRV/Rav4, etc
Exactly. Same reason we got rid of the TL. Even a little more room makes a HUGE differerence.
I'd stick with a slightly used RAV4/ Highlander/ CRV/ Pilot. You really can't go wrong and I'm sure they're relatively riced to the versa.
The Highlander (not latest gen) is very nice. Mar's dad has the 4 banger and her grandpa has the v6 limited fully loaded and they're both equally nice. The 4 banger has decent power, great gas mileage and is super sturdy. Feels very "reliable/toyota-ish".
All the aforementioned cars should offer LATCH connectors in the middle of the rear seat for super easy baby carseat install. Also, not having to bend over to put the kid in the car is a HUGE backsaver.
I say go for it. :irock:

BTW, prior to picking up the MDX, I was SERIOUSLY considering the Saturn Outlook. I still think it's a CRAZY nice vehicle for the money, but I struggle with my inner demons and couldn't get myself to spend 30k+ on a Saturn (even though all signs pointed to yes). Look to see if you can find a used outlook. Theyre awesome.
but then again, i havent driven it in over a month now :hs:

I love runners too but this does nothing to negate the fact that it is a truck chassis with a different body. Basically you gain no width benefits at all compared to most other options out there.
If the runner is in the options then stay away from the V6 models period, they are crap engines prone to sudden and painful failure of the headgaskets, in fact you can pick them up all day on CL for a couple grand for newer models full options and blown engine if you want to take the tie to swap in a 4.3 chevy which is really a simple and reliable swap.
