My gf has an '01 (first gen) CR-V. Slow as balls but the back seat is actually quite roomy. I assume the newer ones are reasonably equivalent or better. RAV4 stinks except for the current version. If you want a little bigger, Hyundai Santa Fe perhaps?

Mazda6 wagon but not sure if that's chick friendly.

Liberty diesel for the win. My friend took one on a camping trip and drove from boulder to steamboat, and around in steamboat and back to boulder and only used half a tank. That's close to 400 miles.

they also have an 08 Trailblazer with 38k for 17. I can probably get either of those for cheaper since I know the guy who is one of the owners of the dealership

 

trailblazer had good 4 wheel drive the rav and crv i doubt.

i think she's between a rav4 and an equinox. the equinox is at a local dealership so we may go check it out tomorrow.

the price on it is a bit more than we owe on her car but with the connection i have and my credit being higher than it was when we bought the versa, i may end up with a cheaper payment :x:
