That's certainly enough of an age gap for him to pretend he was Kobe on the playground.

You ask any player in the NBA who they copied growing up, and they'll tell you who and what move. I think Lebron looked up to Kobe when he was a kid, and you can see it in his game.

What's a guy 6'8 250 saying that he's following in the footsteps of two 6'6" guys that are 35 and 45 pounds lighter? Lebron is a big-ass graceful fusion between Jordan and Kobe.
All that is meaningless. They have very different playing styles. Just because I grew up imitating Jordan doesn't mean I have Jordan's game.

And Lebron's comment about the dunk contest was just to follow other greats that have participated. Doesn't mean he's imitating Kobe.

Fine. Whatever. Sometimes you see a little bit of someone in someone else, and it's nice. Lebron, to me is a smaller player trapped in bigger man's body and takes advantage of it. That's all.

I mean, I see what you're saying, but I just don't agree. He is one of the BEST in this league at using his size to his advantage. Someone who has a small player's mentality doesn't play like he does.

Werdio. I see what I see, and it makes it more fun watching him from my perspective.

It means he can jump out of the fucking building and throw it down harder than anyone in NBA history. I got goosebumps while watching the dunk contest when he entered his name for next year...I can't wait to see this. He is the best in-game dunker the league has ever seen....I just hope he has some good trick/creative dunks he can do. I'll bet he goes from a step beyond the free throw line, or dunks on an 11ft hoop from the free throw line.

James doesn't have any creativity a la Kobe.

That's what I'm saying, I've only seen in game and warmup dunks....I'm sure he'll bring something big to the dunk contest. He's the king of pre-game festivities...so he'll pull something out.

*Edit: After watching, LeBron's dunks were better. How can you say Kobe had more creativity? Only the behind the back 270 had any creativity...and maybe the one where he went under. That's as many creative dunks as LeBron had in his video...and it didn't even have some of his best dunks from this season. Karl Malone tribute dunk? C'mon. Kobe can barely get up to dunk these days. hfawk:
