Official 2009 NBA Playoffs Thread!
To a losing team? Have you even paid attention to anything he's said all year? He's about winning championships. He's said this since the beginning. If the Cavs management can put the pieces around him to win multiple championships, he's not going anywhere. The Knicks? The Nets? They don't have shit.

Indeed. Lebron is quite obviously better.
McMahon is a scumbag.
Nuggets run into scheduling conflict with WWE

In a first for the Celtics blog, we just got a press release from World Wrestling Entertainment, better known as the WWE. The press release points out that a sell-out crowd is expected to attend a WWE show in Denver on Monday, May 25th at the same time the Denver Nuggets are slated to square off against the Los Angeles Lakers for Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals. WWE has held the May 25th date with the Pepsi Center since August 15, 2008.
“Even though the Denver Nuggets had a strong team this year and were projected to make the playoffs, obviously Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke did not have enough faith in his own team to hold the May 25th date for a potential playoff game,” said WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

Uhh, I disagree. Kobe is like a Raptor in Jurassic Park. He tests the defense for weaknesses, systematically, then exploit the weakness. Lebron doesn't have near the finesse or iso moves that Kobe has, despite his speed. Lebron is a bulldozer in most instances.
Kobe is a jumpshooter. Lebron is not. Lebron is a more fierce defender, and more physical in every facet of the game. Lebron is nothing like Kobe/Jordan. He is looking to attack the basket at every opportunity. He is fast and explosive. Kobe is a finesse player.

I still see Kobe in Lebron.
They share a common essences. That fallaway shot, where they don't shoot at the apex, but on their decent. No one really does that they way they do, and I think Lebron got it from Kobe who got if from Jordan. That kind of stuff. Lebron is big and awkward doing it, but with the grace of a smaller forward, whom he says is the best player in the NBA.

lebron is just a fucking beast. fool just comes straight in and most the times, no one knows how to stop him. kobe is an awesome basketballer, but he aint no jordan. kobe's refined his game since he started, and as great as he is, jordan's skill and finesse is still on a higher level. lebron aint nothing like either of them too. he's his own monster level. his own niche in basketballdom. rich and i were just talking about this like a week ago too

I'll never forget seeing Jordan hit his fadeaway at his summer camp in SB....true grace.

When I was a kid growing up playing basketball, we all called out our favorite player's name when we made a certain move. I think Lebron called out "Kobe" and bombed on fools on the playground growing up. Kobe's 6 years older than Lebron. That's certainly enough of an age gap for him to pretend he was Kobe on the playground.
You ask any player in the NBA who they copied growing up, and they'll tell you who and what move. I think Lebron looked up to Kobe when he was a kid, and you can see it in his game.

What's a guy 6'8 250 saying that he's following in the footsteps of two 6'6" guys that are 35 and 45 pounds lighter? Lebron is a big-ass graceful fusion between Jordan and Kobe.

On February 14, 2009, at the All-Star Game in Phoenix, when asked by Cheryl Miller whether he would participate in the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest, he said that he was, following the path of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
