OK...I am not going to argue this any more. You are not going to understand and we can argue semantics all day long. I did make a mistake in putting peace treaty in...I was looking up three things at once.
Yes they are not fighting, yes they never did sign anything to formally end the war, yes we both have a point to argue.

Ok, me too!! For the record, I did learn something today. I do not wish to argure this anymore either. It was a pleasure and hope that you don't take this personal. You are correct though, we both have points to argue.

totally agreed, us doesnt even produce or manufacture anything nowadays, only s*itty cars. if the trading between china and us is cut off, where would we get our daily durable goods and other useful stuff ? we will have to go attack another country and claim they have WMD.

i cant imagine the day, bush jr jr or who ever the president is at that time say we are at war with the republic of china. they simply have to take their billions of people on planes to urinate in one of our states and we would be drowned, let alone fight with them. and our no of nuclear bombs will match theirs considering they are now producing them rapidly.

#2 south korea has specifically said that they do not want nuclear weapons in south korea.
why do you think they didn't drop the bomb when the allied forces were pushed all the way back to the Jai ju island during the war.
Peace will not come easily. North Koreans are brain washed. When aid workers asked North Koreans if they would fight to the death or join South Korea, all answered fight to the death.
My 2cents and I am out.

As some of you stated, the south and the north are seperated because one is communist and one is democratic. Japan and China were both looking to take over the entire Korean penisula and when China did invade the US pushed them northward.
In my opinion it would be bad if North and South were to unite at this time.. at this point in time we KNOW who is the foe and who is the bystander, if we mix among them then more innocent people is at risk of being killed.
North Korea is still using spys to smuggle South Koreans and Japanese people and using them to train the Army on learning their language, lifestyle, so that they can have spys in other lands without them sticking out like a sore thumb.
There still is cases of North Korean residents fleeing to South Korea because of the cruelty of the communistic regime.. they literally starve their population so that they can build a stronger army. Peace treaty will be no good unless they covert to democratic system first or else the US will have a bigger problem on their hands.
