US core values
To be honest I think it began in the early to mid 60's then grew from there. Always a more underlying theme but as the 80's progressed it became more apparent and in the 90's it was outright and spread accordingly.

outkast said it best in ATLiens... "i heard it's not where you're from but where you pay rent. Then I heard it's not what you make but how much you spent..." thats the current generation mindset FTL

There are obviously exceptions to this but from what I see and read, the following are serious issues run amuck in this country:
Absolutely LOVES to be offended
Selfish
Feels they are owed everything, for nothing
Fat
Racist and/or way paranoid about racism to the point it subconsciously (and consciously) creates unequal bias against ones self and others
Scared
Lazy
Blind to, not willing to see reality
Dependent
Over medicated
Manipulated
Judgmental (and tends to accelerate rumors and believe said rumors with no true substantiation)
Believes everything one reads or is told as fact
Trusts the government
Not much feeling or aptitude towards common decency in regards to their fellow man
There is so much more.
I dont want to write a paper. I do try and not be a hypocrite and give everyone a chance. I am very worried about us and our future. Every great civilization has fallen and does so within a historical cycle of similar events. I hope that we, as a country, have the intelligence and foresight to avoid such a thing. I love this country and what it was built upon....with that, I do not love how we have interpreted (manipulated) our countries foundations and original concepts to reflect whatever current leadership thinks is best for the people or more accurately, can gain from. I think that people mirror what is projected by their leadership.

To quote a wise prophet 'Life has but two paths....one must either strive to the utmost of their ability to achieve a measure of success that they deem appropriate...or so perish in the process'
That wise sage better known to today's youth as fiddycent so eloquently conveyed the above message in a mere 5 words...... 'Get Rich or Die Trying'
