My girlfriend told me last night that she got me an ipod touch and it's on it's way. :love:

 

Jailbroke mine the other day and its fucking awesome. This weekend I'm jailbreaking like 3 of my friend's ipods.

But what does jailbreaking do? Unlock it so you can add different apps?

 

You can change different settings, themes, icons, add apps that Apple wouldn't accept. Add keyboard, add different functionality(Like copy and paste), and add your own apps. You can also SSH into it so you can see the file system and change things.

 

I don't understand why you would ever need a keyboard, but coooool.

 

One that I added was so you would have the letters and numbers on the same screen, rather than pushing the numbers button.

 

Can you use aim and shit on these?

 

Do they have a horizontal keyboard instead of the one like the iphone?

 

You name it and you can run it. You can have AIM on a non jailbroken one too.
Jailbroken it can do most anything. Download torrents, watch downloaded videos, save files, copy paste.
I'm not sure. I know it works with some things. I'll search in an hour or two when I'm done syncing.
