Fall from Glory v. Tyson
He was good but overrated IMO :dunno:
I dont place him in my top 5 heavyweights of all time. He couldn't pass Lewis' jab, and he wouldn't have stood a chance against a young Larry Holmes' or Ali's range. He got outbrawled by Holyfield twice, and "real" heavyweight brawlers like Foreman and Shavers would have destroyed him.

Seriously though...this is one of the best tribute videos of him.

The problem was, when he was in his prime, there wasn't many out there that were considered "great". And the few that were, kept dodging fighting him, until AFTER he went to prison and after the loss to Douglas (which he didn't train for, and had retarded people in the corner for).

Holyfield was further past his prime, and he was a tiny heavyweight. Lewis and a young Bowe were there the whole time and Tyson's camp wouldn't give them the time of day. He could have fought pre-retirement Larry Holmes too, but after Tyson got exposed by Tony Tucker, he wouldn't dare step in the ring with anybody who had a decent jab.
Tyson's lack of range devalued his speed. Tyson's reach was 71" (Tua's was 70") but Tyson still couldn't and wouldn't throw anything but inside punches. The heavyweight division is a tall-man's division, and any short boxers who had success against real heavyweights had to throw outside punches, like Holyfield, Frazier, Dempsey, etc.
