it's sad really, you always wondered what could have been.

 

Tyson was an animal no doubt about it and if he got ahold of you then you may as well just lay down...but...if you could last at least 3-4 rounds the guy would be so tired from throwing power punches you had a damn good chance of taking him down. The guy had power in the ring and finesse in the training ring, he just never brought the finesse part of his skills to the fight ring.

I give the man mad props but he could have been a lot more rounded a fighter than he was by far.

I think he was surrounded by people he thought were his friends. Had Custamado lasted longer, I think things would have been different.

 

He was a monster. It just seem like that era all sports were better, Basketball was amazing, baseball was more thrilling.

 

It's because the world is turning more and more pussified. :-/

The fouls they call in basketball now are retarded. If you drive to the hole, and you get fouled hard, it should NOT be a fucking flagrant. You should have expected that for trying to go to the hole.

Ahh well. Good thing UFC is still legit.

 

espn had like ten of his fights on a month or two ago. i dvr'd them all and sat down and watched them one day. they were great.

I remember a few years ago when he punched two guys here in NYC. The two big guys thought they could beat up Mike Tyson and instead they end up in the hospital.
The two guys were describing how painful it is to get punch by Tyson, and the cops replied "why do you think they called him Iron Mike" lol
