why not?

if you are debating the needs to survive in a post-apocalyptic world or a world where governments begin to fail then you have to remember rule 1 is every man for himself. why should i let myself starve when i have the means and the sense to take what i need from those who arent willing to fend but rather hide in a hole?

is it ethical? maybe not, but its darwinism at its finest. if i need something to survive in a world that gives no man leniency then im going to take what i need however i can. protection and self defense is as important as the stockpiles you make. if you cant defend your stock against the outside world why even stockpile?

edit: and the best part of it all is the fact that those who are able to take what they need when they need will draw to them those that are unable or unwilling to do it themselves, thereby building yourself something of a organization with yourself at its head ... a pseudo government if you will h:

And the problem begins all over again. Did you actually read what you just wrote? Unconsciousness at it's finest. So basically because someone else prepared and you didn't it's okay to steal from them because you have a gun?

I hope you wake up one day and see how insane your train of thought is.

On second thought, I wish you eternal lifeh:

I hope you know there is more to life than what you see with your eyesh:

One day you are going to see something that will literally undo your reality, and a gun is not going to save you, not from thath:

honestly you have to be absolutely naive or stupid to think that if the governments were to fail that simply stockpiling food and water will save you

in a world like that at the end of the day a gun is going to get you farther than a loaf of bread. obviously you may see enclaves of people band together but with what? with a promise of protection from the outside world and in that world it will be kill or be killed. not some perfect world where the govt dies and everyone just lives off what they got. u take what you need when you need or you die.

on one hand im being totally outrageous for the sake of being so but on the other hand you have to realize that some if not most of what im saying is quite likely to occur.

there is a fair balance to be achieved of stockpiling supplies and stockpiling weapons. when the supplies run out u gonna need the weapons to take more and defend what you have from others who may want them. cast off the weapons and you leave yourself absolutely defenseless unless you are willing to come under the protection of another or a group, but that comes at a price. loss of freedom, payment of goods or services. its the real world

of course this is all hypothetical BS

Like I said before, I don't have fear. If someone comes and takes my food I'll give them my clothes as well. Not out of fear, but shame and sadness for them.

I wasn't saying the world is going to end either, I'm not talking apocalypse. Just borderline desperation, high prices and scarcity. If it came to me needing a gun, my stepfather has quite a collectionh:
