Default Ideas for Potluck....

I'm doing a NYE potluck and I want something super simple to make...preferably some sort of side dish. Cheeseballs/dips aren't an option b/c too many people are already bringing those. Main dish will be something Italian so I kind of want to mesh with that.

Need something simple and quick!

I'd blame it on being really tired, but I just suck at... acronyms

edit douce(perpoosely misspelled): potato salad :shrug: w/ some Italian seasonings :shrug: maybe put some pepperoni in it :shrug:

No dips? Dag, I was just coming in here to recommend a tha shiznit!

Oh well...I'll still do it. They will bring in their crap dips, and you can bring in some Buffalo Chicken Dip: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Buffalo...ip/Detail.aspx

I made this a couple times recently for a potluck and a family get together. Both times everyone was hooked on it. The only thing I did differently and would highly recommend is by using your own cooked chicken breast. Much better than canned crap.

Take a pack of chicken breast out, cut off all fat. Throw in a pot and boil it for like 45 minutes. Take out and let it sit for a few minutes. Then take the back edge of a knife and scrape the breast. Using this method you can shred the chicken nicely and it isn't chopped up or cut. It makes the dip so much better. h:

That pasta salad sounds good, but I wanted to try to make something from scratch.....

That buffalo dip looks delicious....I just don't want to have 8 million dips. What did you eat it with...crackers, tortilla chips...?

NYE = New Year's Eve.

The buffalo dip you would be making from scratch. And trust me, if you make it right...everyone would want your dip over theirs. :rick: Muhuhahahahahhahah! <evil laugh>

Eat it with cracka's. I just buy those brown circle Ritz low salt crackers.

Oh and NYE.....that's my birfday!

You don't have to use the cooked chicken method either if you want to speed things up. Just buy a cooked rotisserie chicken from your local food store and shred that with the same knife method I mentioned.
