i get 2x pay for ot right now, but am considering going for a position that pays an automatic 25% on top of my salary to cover OT.. so i dunno which is better :dunno:
Do you think you are going to average 50 hours a week at the new position?
same for me, except...some weeks because of my schedule, I basically only get regular pay for working an extra shift. I work 5 days one week and 2 the next so I obviously wouldn't get time and a half on my 2-day weeks. :hs:
I get time and a half. OT is scarce with the economy the way it is. I get it when I can. we get paid 1.5x for holidays we dont work also :rick:
All of the overtime I have done at my current job has been mandatory. It's been nice to get the extra income, especially this time of year, but I won't normally volunteer for it. h:
I do and it's based on CA wage and hour compliance. anything over 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week is 1.5. anything over 12 hours in a single day is double time. any time worked on the 7th consecutive day of work is 2x.
When in trial, I usually put in a minimum of hundred hours a week.
In one paycheck, I had over 3k in taxes taken out.
