Honda's brakes have always been weak sauce IMO (not weksos ). Too much warping and too little stopping power. After my 3rd Honda it's pretty much a given that the rotors and pads will need replacing with aftermarket. Brembo blanks and Hawk pads have worked wonders. It doesn't suprise me to hear the same thing from the TSX.

IMMTL

I had a TSX for a week and I liked it a lot. if you go with the TL, shoot for the TL-S. Hands down better in all ways than the TSX. TSX was built in Japan so yes, build quality is better. As for the size, yes. the TL is bigger and it feels bigger, but I think that's part of it's appeal.

If you're looking for a smaller sportier car, the TSX hands down. If you're looking for a sporty sedan, TL.

FYI, buy the newest car you can.

PS, the braking power of the TL was PHENOMENAL. Never any fade, even with a couple hard runs in the canyons. (100+ to 10mph continuously)

Issue doesn't seem like the tires to me :dunno:. I have no slipping while braking.
