I just saw that on the news (it's all over NY media obviously). Found out it was at a club that my co-workers go to a lot. They dragged me there a few times and I think the metal detectors at the door kind of stopped me from wanting to go back.

 

I read one article that said it was a Glock, therefore no safety. A firearm with no safety + no holster + in the waistband of your pants = on stupid-ass mofo just waiting to shoot himself.

 

So all glocks dont have a safety?

 

Not any of the civilian models, at least. I think I heard something about Glock producing one with a safety for military trials, but I'm not sure. They have internal safeties, so they won't go off unless you pull the trigger, but not a "traditional" safety that will allow you to pull the trigger without the gun going off. They are designed to be used with a holster that completely covers the trigger -- just like a revolver -- and I've never accidentally discharged either of my two glocks.
