I recently saw something about this, they plugged a bunch of chargers into a powerbar and then made some tests to see if they used energy when they weren't charging something. Apparently they barely used any electricity.

Unfortunately I don't remember where I saw this.

I know my Comcast cable box is an energy hog. Even when off, the damn thing is red hot.

It's gotten to the point where I unplug it when it's not in use.

I turn everything off when I'm done.

Except my desktop, but thats not set up right now. My desktop would be on all the time.
