I recently saw something about this, they plugged a bunch of chargers into a powerbar and then made some tests to see if they used energy when they weren't charging something. Apparently they barely used any electricity.
Unfortunately I don't remember where I saw this.
I'll try and find it.
it uses enough power to make commercials about unplugging them when not in use
